QUILT SHOW BASKETS
OFFERED FOR 2008!
I have been teaching classes
at the Houston International Quilt show for several years. Each year I have an
opportunity to meet some wonderful and talented people! Please join us this year
and see for yourself how much fun basket weaving can be!
We have two all day classes
offered this year, Bushel Basket and Shopping Basket. This year's theme is
"Spirals"! Both basket will teach you how to add a splash of color to your
baskets!

BUSHEL BASKET/BALLS of YARN-
Class #430 on Thursday October 30th. This basket is also
called " Balls of Yarn". It is woven on a Nantucket style base (spokes will
already be inserted for the students)and is accented with a spiral overlay and
leather handles. Students will choose color for the overlay. This basket is
ideal to hold balls of yarn or fat quarters.
SHOPPING BASKET- Class #718
on Saturday. This basket has a unique Shaker shape with a solid woven base. You
will learn cathead shaping and a simple twill weave. It is accented with space
dyed reed and a hand-carved oak handle.
